I’m Martijn — a software engineer who likes the unglamorous parts: clear interfaces, sturdy infrastructure, and systems that behave under load.

I’ve spent years building and operating backend services in Python and Go, the AWS infrastructure beneath them, and — more recently — the AI/LLM systems on top. I care about the path from a rough idea to something on-call engineers can sleep through: good tests, honest observability, and resisting the urge to add a moving part.

I work best with small teams who value craft and momentum in equal measure.
